What matters for a Dreamten alternative
- 01
Count the people you actually need
Dreamten's pitch is a senior team: strategy, product, websites and brand under one monthly fee. Before seed revenue, most products need one person who designs the next flow every week. List the roles you would use this month, then price only those.
- 02
Annual cost, not the monthly headline
At $7,950 a month, a year of Dreamten is $95,400. A year of our subscription is $59,004. Put the twelve-month figure next to your runway before you compare portfolios.
- 03
Who writes the code
Dreamten says it partners with teams that already have in-house developers, and builds marketing sites in Framer, Webflow or hand-coded HTML. If you have no engineers, you need a studio with developers on staff or a deliverable your AI coding tools can take over.
- 04
Proof in your category
Dreamten's strongest work is Fathom, Mysten Labs and other web3 and consumer brands. For an AI product, ask each studio for chat, agent or copilot screens it designed, not only websites.
What goes wrong when an early startup books a fractional team
Picture a seed-stage AI team that books a fractional design team because the portfolio is excellent. Month one goes to brand and website, month two to a design system, and the product flow that blocks activation waits for month three. Nothing was done badly; the team simply had more roles than the company had problems.
The cheaper order is product first: the onboarding and core AI interaction, delivered as Figma, a coded prototype or front-end code, then the site once the product story is clear. Our fractional design team list and pricing study show what each monthly model really costs.
1. Designpixil: Early AI and SaaS startups that want one senior design partner by the month

Designpixil works the way Dreamten does, booked by the month, but with one senior designer: $4,917 a month for 3 to 4 deliverables a week, the first within 24 hours, paused or cancelled any time. That is about $3,000 a month less than Dreamten's entry price. A defined piece of work can be a fixed project from $3,000 instead.
Anant Jain, the founder, designs every screen. For Echo AI that meant the whole product in 5 to 6 weeks: chat, an IDE view and the usage dashboard. For Whizo AI it meant the marketing site. We design and build marketing sites in Next.js or Framer. Product work arrives as Figma built on real components, or as a clickable coded prototype or front-end UI code your engineers take over. We do not build backends, so if you need one contract for the whole product, pick a studio below that engineers in-house.

“Anant went above and beyond to deliver a great design. Anant single-handedly delivered a landing page design, UX mockups (mobile and web), as well as our company's logo on-time and with multiple revisions.”

How we ranked this list
This page is for founders looking past Dreamten, so it is left off the ranking and compared head to head instead, using the same fields as every other studio. The alternatives are studios that do similar work and publish proof of it, and the “how to choose” table says when Dreamten itself is the better fit.
We started from the studios founders keep running into when they ask AI assistants and search engines who to hire, then kept the ones that do this kind of work and publish proof of it. Every fact in the tables comes from the agency's own website or its public directory listings, checked on October 21, 2026. Prices are only ones an agency publishes itself; where it doesn't, we say so instead of guessing.
The order is our judgment of fit for this specific buyer, not a score. We put Designpixil first only on lists where we genuinely fit the buyer, and our entry lists who we are not right for, the same as everyone else's. If something about your agency is wrong or out of date, email hello@designpixil.com and we will correct it within a week.
