About Designpixil

What is Designpixil?

Designpixil is an AI product design studio for founders. We design AI products (agents, copilots, chatbots and dashboards), redesign products built with AI coding tools such as Lovable, Cursor, Bolt and v0, and stay on as your design partner while you ship. You can work with us on a flat monthly subscription of $4,917 a month or as a fixed project from $3,000.

Who actually designs my product?

Anant Jain, the founder, designs every project personally. There are no junior designers, no account managers and no handoffs between people, so the person you talk to is the person designing your screens. You can read more about Anant and the studio.

Where is Designpixil based?

Designpixil is remote-first and works with founders in the US, UK and EU. Work runs async through Slack and Trello, so where you are rarely matters.

Who is Designpixil a good fit for?

Founders of AI and B2B SaaS startups, usually from pre-seed to Series A, who need senior design every week but are not ready to hire a full-time designer. That includes founders who built a working product quickly with an AI coding tool and now need it to look like a real company.

Who is Designpixil not a fit for?

Founders with no budget for design, teams that want to review every pixel on long weekly calls, and businesses outside software such as e-commerce stores or local services. Enterprise programmes that need a large team at once, or founders who need engineers to build the product, are better served by a bigger studio; our agency shortlists name good ones.

How experienced is Anant Jain?

Anant has designed products since 2019 and founded Designpixil in 2023. He has shipped 40+ products for 25+ startups across the US, UK and EU, including dashboards, AI interfaces, mobile apps, design systems and marketing sites.

Which companies has Designpixil worked with?

Clients include Echo AI, Whizo AI, HAL51 AI, OvaWise, Vocalini, Transdyne, Poshn, Slixta, Stegofy, Pludo, Tapdo App and SocialPay, plus 25+ other startups.

Can I see your work?

Yes. Start with the Echo AI case study, where we designed the whole AI product in 5 to 6 weeks, and the Whizo AI case study, a website for a developer AI tool. More projects are on the work page.

Pricing

How much does Designpixil cost?

Two options, both published. The design subscription is $4,917 a month, flat. Fixed projects start at $3,000. There is no hourly billing and no charge for the intro call. Full details are on the pricing page.

What does the monthly subscription include?

For $4,917 a month you get 3 to 4 design deliverables a week from Anant, delivered async through Slack and Trello, with the first deliverable within 24 hours. It covers AI product design, product screens, dashboards, websites and landing pages, mobile app design, design systems, pitch decks and marketing collateral. You can pause or cancel any time.

What does a one-off project include?

Projects start at $3,000 and are scoped to one clear job, such as a landing page, a website, a core product flow or a redesign. They include the Figma source files and two rounds of revisions, and most are delivered in 1 to 2 weeks.

Should I choose the subscription or a project?

Choose a project when the job has edges: one landing page, one onboarding flow, one redesign. Choose the subscription when you ship every week and want design to keep pace with engineering. A project is also a low-risk way to try the work before you move to the subscription.

Is there a contract or minimum term?

No. The subscription has no long-term contract and no minimum term. You can pause or cancel any time without a penalty.

Can I pause the subscription?

Yes. If you have a quiet month, for example while engineering catches up, pause the subscription and pick it up again when you need design.

Do you charge by the hour?

No. The subscription is a flat monthly fee and projects are a fixed price agreed before we start, so there are no hourly invoices and no surprise charges when a request grows.

How do I pay?

We bill in US dollars. Card payment is standard, and ACH or wire transfer is available for subscription clients.

Why do you publish your prices when most agencies do not?

Because founders should know whether they can afford a studio before they spend a call finding out. In our pricing study of 63 product design agencies, only 23 publish a price on their own website.

How does your price compare with other design agencies?

Across the 63 agencies in our pricing study, the median minimum project is $25,000, and 37 of the 43 that state a minimum start at $10,000 or more. Published monthly prices run from $699 to $15,000. Designpixil starts at $3,000 per project or $4,917 a month.

Why is Designpixil less expensive than a typical agency?

Not because the work is junior. Agencies carry account managers, project managers and a bench of designers, and the price covers all of them. Designpixil is one senior designer working async, so the fee pays for design and little else.

Is there a waitlist?

Subscription capacity is capped each month so every client gets Anant's attention. The pricing page shows how many slots are open this month; at the time of writing it is 2.

How working together works

How do we get started?

Book a free intro call. We look at your product and agree on priorities. If we go ahead, your Slack channel and Trello board are set up within 24 hours, and the first deliverable arrives within 24 to 48 hours of kickoff.

What happens on the intro call?

We look at your product, what you are trying to fix or ship, and your timeline. You get an honest view of what to do first and whether Designpixil is the right fit; if another kind of studio suits you better, Anant will say so.

How fast is the turnaround?

Most requests, such as a set of screens, components or a landing page section, come back within 1 to 3 business days. On the subscription that adds up to 3 to 4 deliverables a week.

What counts as one deliverable?

One finished request: for example the screens for a flow, a set of components, or a section of a landing page. Bigger pieces of work, like a whole product, are planned across several weeks; Echo AI's full product took 5 to 6 weeks.

Do I have to join regular meetings?

No. The work is async-first: requests, feedback and files move through Slack and Trello, with no mandatory calls. When a call would genuinely save time, we have one.

What tools do you use?

Figma for design, Slack for conversation and Trello for the queue of requests. Marketing sites can also be built in Framer.

How do revisions work?

Revisions are included. On the subscription we iterate in Slack until the design is right, and most requests need one or two rounds. Fixed projects include two revision rounds.

Can you work directly with my engineers?

Yes. Engineers get production-ready Figma files with component specs and interaction notes, and Anant can join the relevant Slack conversations to answer questions while they build.

Does working across time zones slow things down?

Rarely. Because the work is async, you send feedback when it suits you and designs come back within 1 to 3 business days, without waiting for a meeting slot.

What if I do not have a clear brief yet?

That is normal. We agree priorities on the intro call. If you want to get your thoughts in order first, the free design brief generator produces a one-page brief you can send to any designer.

AI products and what we design

Do you design AI products?

Yes, it is the studio's specialty: AI agents, copilots, chatbots and AI dashboards. Shipped AI work includes Echo AI (chat and IDE), Whizo AI, HAL51 AI and Tyrofit. See AI product design.

What makes designing an AI product different?

The interface has to handle what the AI is unsure about. That means designing waiting and streaming states, low confidence, sources the user can check, refusals, errors and how the user recovers, plus how much the AI does without asking. We cover the patterns in AI interface design patterns.

Can you design an AI agent interface?

Yes: agent dashboards, approval queues, run history and failure states that let people supervise an agent and trust what it did. More on AI agent UI design.

Can you design a copilot or a chatbot?

Yes. For copilots the work is where the assistant appears inside an existing product and how it earns use; for chatbots it is conversation, trust and error states. See AI copilot UI design and AI chatbot UI design.

Do you design SaaS dashboards?

Yes: B2B SaaS, analytics, fintech, HR and healthcare dashboards, designed with realistic data, empty states and the actions users take next. Work includes a healthcare SaaS dashboard for Transdyne and the usage views in Echo AI. See SaaS dashboard design.

Do you design mobile apps?

Yes, for iOS and Android, end to end. For OvaWise we designed a mobile app from scratch with 100+ screens shipped. See mobile app design for startups.

Do you design and build websites?

Yes. We design marketing sites and landing pages and can build them in Framer, so your team can edit copy after launch. Work includes the Whizo AI and HAL51 AI sites, and the site for Poshn, an agri-tech startup that went on to raise $8M.

Do you create design systems?

Yes, sized for a startup: tokens, a type scale, core components and their states, built so both engineers and AI coding tools can follow them. See design systems for SaaS.

Do you design pitch decks?

Yes. Pitch decks are included in the subscription, and founders often pair one with a product or website refresh before a raise. See pitch deck design.

Vibe-coded products and AI tools

Can you redesign a product built with Lovable, Cursor, Bolt or v0?

Yes, it is a core service. We redesign the product on the code you already have, usually in 2 to 3 weeks, from $3,000. See vibe-coded app redesign.

Will I need to rewrite my code?

No. We design the tokens, components and states the product should have had, and deliver them as build-ready Figma that your engineers or AI coding tools apply to the existing codebase, flow by flow.

Do you work with Claude Code, Codex and Cursor?

Yes. We hand off designs and a design system in a form AI coding tools can follow, so the product you generate next stays consistent instead of drifting back to defaults. See our shortlists for Claude Code and Codex products.

Why does my vibe-coded product look like every other AI app?

Because the tools share the same defaults. In our study of 832 websites, 40% of Lovable-built apps carried three or more of five default design markers, against 8% of funded YC startup sites. The free vibe-coded design checker shows which markers your site has.

Why not just use an AI design tool like Claude Design, Figma Make or Google Stitch?

Those tools are fast, and they work best when you give them a design system. Most founders do not have one, so the output converges on the same generic look. We build the system those tools need, so they become more useful, not less.

Can you build the product as well as design it?

We build marketing sites in Framer, but not the product itself. We design it for your engineers or AI coding tools. If you need a studio to engineer the product too, our MVP shortlist compares design-and-build studios.

Files, ownership and handoff

Who owns the designs?

You do. You own every file outright, from the first deliverable.

What is in the Figma files?

Production-ready screens with auto-layout, named layers, reusable components and documented design tokens. Developers can inspect and export assets directly, with no extra handoff step.

What happens to my files if I cancel?

Nothing changes: everything delivered is yours to keep and use, and you can restart the subscription later.

How do engineers implement the designs?

From the Figma files, with component specs and interaction notes. For AI coding tools, the design system gives them the tokens and components to reuse, so screens stay consistent as they generate new ones.

Comparisons, trust and risk

Is Designpixil better than hiring a full-time designer?

For most seed-stage startups, yes. A senior product designer in the US costs upward of $164,000 a year fully loaded (Levels.fyi, 2025), and hiring takes months. The subscription is $4,917 a month, starts within days and can be paused. Once you need a designer every day across several teams, hire one; we can help you get the system ready for them.

How is Designpixil different from a freelancer?

You get predictable turnaround of 1 to 3 business days, the same senior designer every week, a published flat price and async communication. Freelancers can be excellent, but availability and continuity vary from person to person.

How is Designpixil different from a design agency?

Agencies scope multi-month projects, bill by phase and staff them with teams that change. In our pricing study the median agency minimum is $25,000. Designpixil starts at $3,000, moves at startup pace, and Anant designs every screen.

How does Designpixil compare with DesignJoy and other design subscriptions?

DesignJoy is a one-person subscription at $4,995 a month, one request at a time, covering web, UI, branding and decks. Designpixil is focused on product design for AI and SaaS, with 3 to 4 deliverables a week. See the full DesignJoy comparison and our design subscription shortlist.

How do I choose a design agency for my startup?

Start from your stage, your product and how you want to hire, then compare published prices and minimum budgets. Our agency shortlists do that by stage, AI product, build tool, service and city, with every price sourced.

I was burned by an agency before. Why would this be different?

The usual failures are a senior person on the sales call and a junior on the work, a price that grows, and a contract you cannot leave. Here the person on the call designs every screen, the price is published, and the subscription can be cancelled any time. The first deliverable arrives within 24 hours, so you judge real work within days. If you want a smaller test, start with a fixed project from $3,000.

What if I do not like the first designs?

Say what feels off in Slack and we revise; revisions are included. Most requests land within one or two rounds. If the work is not right for you, you can cancel the subscription any time.

How do I know the quality will be good enough for my product?

Judge the work, not the pitch. Look at the Echo AI and Whizo AI case studies, and read what founders say below. Then start small: one flow or one page will tell you more than any call.

What do clients say about working with Designpixil?

In their own words: "You do some great work and I'll recommend you to anyone I know looking for quality product designs in the states" (Venkat Gella, Echo AI). "He quickly understood our product, asked the right questions, and delivered a polished website that communicates our value clearly" (Udit Singh, Whizo AI).

Do you work with pre-seed startups?

Yes, when there is a budget for design. Pre-seed founders often start with a fixed project from $3,000, such as the landing page or the core product flow, to look credible before they raise.

Can you help us look investment-ready before a fundraise?

Yes, that is one of the most common reasons founders come to us: redesigning an MVP-stage product, the website and the pitch deck so investors see a real company. See UX design for seed-stage startups.
