What it is

What is an AI design agency?+
An AI design agency is a studio that designs the interfaces of AI products: agent dashboards, copilots, chatbots and AI-powered dashboards. The specialist part of the job is designing the states ordinary software never has, such as streaming answers, uncertainty, refusals, partial failures and actions that need human approval. The term is also used by agencies that use AI tools to make branding faster, which is a different service.
How much does an AI design agency cost?+
Large agencies typically quote five- or six-figure projects with a team attached. Designpixil's subscription is $4,917/mo for continuous product design with 3–4 deliverables a week, and one-off AI design projects start from $3,000. There are no contracts on the subscription; you can pause or cancel anytime.
Do I need a specialist AI design agency or will a general product designer do?+
A strong generalist can design the conventional screens of an AI product. The risk is the AI-specific states: streaming, confidence, citations, approval flows and recovery from a half-finished agent run. If those are central to your product, and in most AI products they are, a studio that has already shipped them saves you from learning the patterns through user complaints.
How long does it take to design an AI product?+
A focused surface, such as a chatbot or a single agent workflow, typically takes two to three weeks of design. A complete AI product covering setup, core workflow, agent supervision, failure states and dashboards usually runs four to eight weeks on the subscription, with work shipping in usable pieces from the first week.
Can you redesign an AI product we built with Lovable, Cursor or v0?+
Yes. Vibe-coded products are a large share of our AI work. We redesign the interface on your existing codebase, so you keep what works and your team, or your AI coding tools, implement the new design without a rewrite.
Can our engineers or AI coding tools build directly from your designs?+
Yes. We deliver build-ready Figma with named components, tokens and every state documented, structured so engineers or tools like Cursor and Claude Code can implement it directly rather than guessing at spacing and edge cases. If you would rather start from code, we can also deliver the UI as front-end React or Next.js code your engineers connect to the model and backend.
