Mobile App Design Examples for B2B SaaS

B2B mobile app design is not consumer design scaled down. It's a different discipline — data density, role-based access, and task completion in constrained screen space. Here's what it looks like when done right.

Most B2B SaaS companies treat mobile as an afterthought — a stripped-down version of the desktop product built after funding. The problem: 53% of B2B buyers now use mobile throughout the buying and evaluation process (Salesforce State of Sales, 2024). A product that works well on mobile doesn't just serve existing users better — it removes a friction point that was silently costing signups. B2B mobile design differs from consumer in three fundamental ways: users are trained, not casual; data density requirements are higher; and error tolerance is lower because mistakes have business consequences.

Got questions?

Frequently asked questions.

What makes B2B mobile app design different from consumer app design?+
B2B mobile users are trained, not casual. They have specific tasks to complete — checking a metric, approving a request, reviewing a report — and no tolerance for confusing flows. Consumer apps can prioritise discovery and delight; B2B apps must prioritise task completion speed and data accuracy. Role-based access, offline functionality, and data-heavy screens are B2B-specific requirements that consumer design patterns can't handle.
Do you design for iOS and Android separately?+
We design to platform conventions for both iOS and Android — native navigation patterns, gesture interactions, and component behaviour differ significantly between platforms. For most B2B SaaS products, we recommend designing iOS-first (where your buyers typically are), then adapting for Android with platform-appropriate patterns rather than a pixel-for-pixel copy.
How do you approach data-heavy dashboards on mobile screens?+
Progressive disclosure is the primary pattern: show the key metric at the top, let users drill into breakdowns with a tap. Tables become cards. Charts simplify to trend indicators. The goal is answering the user's most likely question within two taps without requiring them to scroll through dense data grids.
What's included in a mobile app design project?+
A complete mobile app design project includes: all primary user flows (onboarding, core product screens, navigation, settings, empty states, error states), component library in Figma, responsive adaptations for tablet where relevant, handoff specs for engineering, and prototype for testing. We don't deliver wireframes and walk away — we deliver production-ready designs your engineers can build from directly.
How long does mobile app design take?+
A core set of screens for an MVP-stage B2B mobile app (onboarding + 3–5 primary feature screens) typically takes 3–4 weeks. A full redesign of an existing product takes 6–10 weeks depending on scope and complexity.
