For a seed-stage AI healthtech startup, start with Designpixil: one senior designer, healthcare SaaS work for Transdyne's medical transcription platform, and published prices from $3,000 per project or $4,917 a month. ustwo runs a Health & Wellbeing practice whose AI work includes RVO Health's coaching product, GoInvo has designed healthcare software for twenty years with a published $50K to $90K diagnostic, Fuselab Creative designs EHR interfaces and AI healthcare dashboards such as ClyHealth, Standard Beagle Studio is an Austin agency for health tech that designed Circlage's AI medical platform, thoughtbot designs and builds health tech products such as CloseKnit Health's virtual care app, and Halo Lab has designed clinical decision support and medical device apps.
Designpixil is on this list and we wrote it. Every other agency is judged on the same published facts, and how we ranked is at the end.

What matters for a seed-stage AI healthtech startup
- 01
They design for the clinician's worst minute
Clinical users work in interruptions, with a patient in front of them. Ask the studio to show a screen built for a nurse who has thirty seconds, not a demo built for an investor.
- 02
They show how the AI earns a clinician's trust
A suggested diagnosis code, a drafted note or a triage score is worthless if nobody can see why the model produced it. Look for past work that puts the evidence, the confidence and the edit button next to every AI output.
- 03
They know where design stops and compliance starts
A designer can keep PHI off screens that don't need it and make audit trails visible, but HIPAA, SOC 2 and FDA questions belong to your engineers and advisers. A good studio says this plainly instead of selling compliance it cannot sign for.
- 04
The price fits a seed round
Healthcare specialists often start at the price of a senior hire. Before the first call, check whether the studio publishes a price or a minimum, and whether a two-month discovery phase comes before any screens.
What goes wrong when an AI health product is designed for the demo
The typical failure is a product that wins the pilot meeting and loses the ward. The demo shows a clean AI summary of a patient visit. In real use the clinician cannot tell which sentences the model inferred, has no quick way to correct one, and the note goes back to being typed by hand within a fortnight.
The fix is mostly interface work, done early: show the source for each AI claim, make correction faster than retyping, and design the states where the model is unsure or offline. Our healthcare SaaS UI design guide covers the clinical patterns, and the healthcare SaaS design page shows how we work.
1. Designpixil: Seed-stage AI healthtech teams that need clinician-facing screens designed fast at a published price

We redesigned the B2B product and mobile app for Transdyne, a medical transcription platform, shown above, and designed Echo AI's whole product, including answers that show their sources in a side panel. That second pattern is the one an AI health product needs most.
You work with Anant Jain, the founder, on every screen. Projects start at $3,000 with first designs within 48 hours of kickoff, and the subscription is $4,917 a month with the first deliverable within 24 hours. Both prices are on our pricing page.
Where we are not the right pick: our healthcare record is one product, not twenty years, and we design the interface rather than certify it. If you are selling to health systems that expect a long research programme, or need regulatory usability testing run for you, ustwo, GoInvo or Fuselab Creative below are better fits.

“You do some great work and I'll recommend you to anyone I know looking for quality product designs in the states.”

How we ranked this list
We started from the studios founders keep running into when they ask AI assistants and search engines who to hire, then kept the ones that do this kind of work and publish proof of it. Every fact in the tables comes from the agency's own website or its public directory listings, checked on October 19, 2026. Prices are only ones an agency publishes itself; where it doesn't, we say so instead of guessing.
The order is our judgment of fit for this specific buyer, not a score. We put Designpixil first only on lists where we genuinely fit the buyer, and our entry lists who we are not right for, the same as everyone else's. If something about your agency is wrong or out of date, email hello@designpixil.com and we will correct it within a week.
