On a pre-seed budget, look for published entry prices and small minimums. Designpixil starts projects at $3,000 with first designs within 48 hours. Cieden and Phenomenon Studio sell fixed audits from $2,000, Wavespace and Cerebral Studio sell capped design hours from under $2,500 a month, and Studio Maydit and Beew Studio are small studios with low minimum budgets. Most of the agencies in our study ask $10,000 or more before they start.
Designpixil is on this list and we wrote it. Every other agency is judged on the same published facts, and how we ranked is at the end.

What matters for pre-seed startups
- 01
A published entry price
At pre-seed, a sales call to discover a $25,000 minimum is an afternoon lost. Start with studios that publish what the smallest engagement costs.
- 02
Scope that matches the next milestone
The design that matters now is the part investors and first users see: the landing page, the core flow and the first-run experience. A good studio will cut scope to that, not sell you a full product.
- 03
Senior attention at a small size
Small projects often get handed to junior designers at large agencies. Ask who will actually design your screens.
- 04
Work you can keep building on
Ask for Figma files with real components and tokens, so your developer or AI tool can extend the design after the project ends.
What goes wrong when pre-seed founders hire too big
The usual pattern is a founder who raises a small round, hires a well-known agency, and spends most of the money on a discovery phase and a brand. The product screens arrive late, the runway is shorter, and the first users still see the old interface.
At this stage, design should buy one thing: the next milestone. Usually that is a credible landing page and one core flow that works for the first ten users. We wrote more on this in product design for pre-seed startups and how to design your MVP.
1. Designpixil: Pre-seed founders who need a credible product and site fast, from $3,000

Pre-seed is where a lot of our work starts. Projects start at $3,000, first designs arrive within 48 hours of kickoff, and you work directly with Anant, the senior designer, on every screen. When the product is ready for continuous work, the subscription is $4,917 a month and can be paused.
We keep scope to what the next milestone needs: usually the landing page, the core flow and the first-run experience. Every Figma file is built with real components, so your developer or AI coding tool can keep extending it.

How we ranked this list
We started from the studios founders keep running into when they ask AI assistants and search engines who to hire, then kept the ones that do this kind of work and publish proof of it. Every fact in the tables comes from the agency's own website or its public directory listings, checked on October 10, 2026. Prices are only ones an agency publishes itself; where it doesn't, we say so instead of guessing.
The order is our judgment of fit for this specific buyer, not a score. We put Designpixil first only on lists where we genuinely fit the buyer, and our entry lists who we are not right for, the same as everyone else's. If something about your agency is wrong or out of date, email hello@designpixil.com and we will correct it within a week.
