For an AI startup that wants its product screens designed and delivered as front-end code, start with Designpixil: one senior designer designs the UI and hands it over as React or Next.js components your engineers take over, from $3,000 as a fixed project or inside the $4,917 monthly subscription. Frontend Studio is a one-person Ottawa studio that designs and codes React UI from $1,495 a sprint, Denovers ships design systems in Figma and production React together, Evil Martians embeds designers and front-end engineers at $7,000 a week per person, Halo Lab runs design and development from $5,000, Pixel Point designs and builds React and Next.js sites for developer companies, Monogram is a Next.js and React engineering studio, and thoughtbot designs and builds the whole product with its own engineers.
Designpixil is on this list and we wrote it. Every other agency is judged on the same published facts, and how we ranked is at the end.

What matters for design delivered as code
- 01
Components, not screenshots
The handover should be a set of reusable components with props and states, in the framework your app already uses. A folder of one-off page files is a redesign your engineers will rewrite anyway.
- 02
Every state in code
Loading, empty, error and permission states are where hand-built UI drifts from the design. Check the code covers them, not only the screens that looked good in the pitch.
- 03
Your stack, your repo
Ask what the studio writes in (React, Next.js, Tailwind, your component library) and whether it works in your repository through pull requests your engineers review.
- 04
Where design stops
Design-to-code is front end only. Be clear who wires it to your API, auth and data, or you will pay a full engineering team for work your developers could do.
What goes wrong when design becomes code
The classic failure is the gap between the file and the build: engineers rebuild each screen by eye, spacing and states slip, and three sprints later the shipped product no longer matches what was approved. The designer files bug tickets nobody has time for.
Handing over code instead of pictures closes most of that gap, but only if the code is written to be kept. Agree the component structure up front, review it in your own repo, and keep one designer responsible for both. More in design handoff from Figma to developers and handing Figma to AI coding tools.
1. Designpixil: Product UI designed and handed over as React or Next.js code, from $3,000

We design your product and hand it over as front-end UI code in React or Next.js, written with AI coding tools such as Claude Code and Codex and reviewed line by line by the designer who drew it. Your engineers connect it to the backend; we do not build the backend, database or auth. Projects start at $3,000; the subscription is $4,917 a month.
For Echo AI we designed the whole AI product, chat, IDE, usage metrics and the component set behind them, in 5 to 6 weeks. Every project is designed by Anant Jain, the founder, so the person who made the design is the one checking the code.

“Anant was a pleasure to work with. We brought Anant on to transform existing wireframes into a professional looking mobile application. He pays attention to details and listens to your ideas. He was able to translate ideas into reality very quickly and at a high level. He has a good creative aspect to his design and can ensure that things turn out beautifully.”

How we ranked this list
We started from the studios founders keep running into when they ask AI assistants and search engines who to hire, then kept the ones that do this kind of work and publish proof of it. Every fact in the tables comes from the agency's own website or its public directory listings, checked on October 14, 2026. Prices are only ones an agency publishes itself; where it doesn't, we say so instead of guessing.
The order is our judgment of fit for this specific buyer, not a score. We put Designpixil first only on lists where we genuinely fit the buyer, and our entry lists who we are not right for, the same as everyone else's. If something about your agency is wrong or out of date, email hello@designpixil.com and we will correct it within a week.
